Vidorreta
Vidorreta is a family business founded in 1995, when we designed and marketed our first collection of espadrilles. The previous generation was already involved in the sector, working on the production of jute braid used to make the soles of these shoes.
A craft tradition deeply rooted in the family town of Cervera del Río Alhama, considered the birthplace of the espadrille and declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO.
Vidorreta espadrilles, hand-stitched, keep alive a craft tradition that makes them a unique product: the imperfection of craftsmanship is part of their essence. We remain faithful to hand-stitching, which is carried out stitch by stitch by our artisans in La Rioja. A tradition that, together with important design and innovation work, makes the collections complete, high-quality and trendy.
At Vidorreta we continue to bet on the value of artisan work, something that remains intact in our brand identity. The processes are controlled and under our supervision in all the workshops we work with, from the beginning to the end of the manufacturing process; always with the aim of guaranteeing the handling of the product and the final piece.

We have a recycling policy within our production system, classifying and recycling materials. In addition to this, we have a renewable energy policy, dedicating the factory roof to producing clean and ecological solar energy, which supplies the production system.

We design two main collections each year: Spring-Summer and Autumn-Winter. Collections for a very wide audience that include women's espadrilles in different heights, wedges, platforms and flats; espadrilles for brides and espadrilles for men in a variety of materials and finishes and for different occasions of use. During the course of each season, we reinforce the collections with capsule launches that respond to market trends and the immediate needs of the consumer.
